Mischling

Lamppu is a 2-year old rescue dog from Lithuania. He definitely has husky in him but as well some shepherd+some other breed too. He came to our home to Helsinki in the summer of 2018. In November'18 we moved to Leipzig, Germany for some months due to our work. He is such an adventurous soul and brave in adjusting new surroundings and people very quickly. Obviously in his previous life before the Lithuanian shelter he has been treated fairly well, he seems to have NO traumas. We have though been training him to walk nicely on a leash and passing by other dogs is on constant progress. Therefore ie. when walking with him it's good to pay constant attention when passing other dogs. He is not aggressive at all but as he uses his 'murmur' voice when passing by other dogs. So it's necessary to keep the treats constantly in your pocket to steal Lamppus attention as soon as possible when he notices another dog. Lamppu is social dog, plays well with other dogs and never dominates. He has also learned the gentle way to play with humans that he did not know once he came to our place! Lamppu is a quick learner and knows couple of tricks too and basic orders for good behaviour. We've been lucky here in Germany to train him slowly to be off the leash as well, but that we only do at certain, very safe spots. So preferably we suggest to keep him on a leash when new people take him out. If anything comes on your mind apart from this introduction please do ask!
